The Foundation for the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming exists solely to support the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming. We do this by providing a block grant to support the Diocesan budget and by offering grants to Episcopal churches in Wyoming. These grants are designed to help our churches enhance the religious, charitable, and educational purposes of the church and its partner organizations.
All Wyoming Episcopal churches are invited to apply for grant funds. Grants are available on a quarterly basis.
Our funding priorities focus on three distinct categories: Ministry, Outreach and Sacred Spaces.
Ministry – Grants designed for connecting us and others with our Creator.
Examples: Church Ministry, Mission and Evangelism, Advancing Spirituality, Spiritual and Biblical Resources, Music Ministries, Church Communications, Technological Upgrades, Youth Ministries, Worship and Liturgy, Ecumenical and Interreligious Dialogue and Education, and more!
Outreach – As centers of transformation in our communities, churches can apply for grants that will relieve human suffering, promote reconciliation, peace, justice, and wellbeing within a community.
Example: Education (including vocational, higher education, and job training), Suicide Prevention, Mental Health Care, Food Insecurity, Affordable Housing, Poverty Alleviation, Addiction Recovery, Transportation, Youth Services, Social Justice, Racial Reconciliation, and more!
Sacred Spaces – Applications for repair or upgrade of our physical spaces to best enable spiritual growth, worship and human connection are considered Sacred Spaces grants. The Foundation is embarking on an exciting collaboration with the Diocese in the creation of a Capital Expenditures (CapEx) grant funding opportunities. In 2026, Sacred Spaces requests may be funded through the Foundation’s competitive grant pool or through the Diocese’s Property Committee in conjunction with the CapEx fund.

Insurance Deductible Support
In collaboration with the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming, the Foundation offers grants to cover the insurance deductible.
