The Foundation for the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming enthusiastically supports the churches in Wyoming as they nourish their communities spiritually and physically with grants that expand their ministry and mission in depth and in breadth.
Through the Love Thy Neighbor Grant, St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church in Dubois in partnership with other Community Organizations and volunteers from another Church in the community provided a Cowboy Christmas “No Cost” Kids Shop Corral. Children aged 0-16 were able to purchase gifts for 5 loved ones and have them wrapped and ready to go under their Christmas Tree. 120+ children were served, in an empowering and memorable event for the children, parents, and all of the volunteers.
St. Mark’s is requesting a grant to continue their signature Heart to Hands ministries for diaper and laundry voucher distribution. Through the target group of those with low to moderate income families, St. Mark’s has helped over 400 patrons a month with the ministry. St. Mark’s is expanding this signature ministry to include “Baby Boxes” for every newborn baby in Natrona County.
St. Andrew’s hosted four summer events in Meeteetse, culminating with a concert from The Craft Brothers. The events were open to the community to spend time in fellowship and celebrate God’s gifts of music, dance, and nature.
St. John’s has used grant money to help them be a local leader in their community through efforts such as fundrasing for a glass crusher at the City of Powell recycling center! They also provide educational and support services to help individuals navigate social service programs and get connected to resources like the Pantry Project.
